Seashell Beach Café
Our seaside restaurant features an extensive range of mouth watering dishes that keep guests returning every day. Fresh cocktails and delectable snacks during the summery swelter and the seductive velvet of a tropical night are the only reasons needed to “stay in” at Seashell Beach and Cafe. The portions are generous and the menu is kept extensive for long stay guests.
A popular starter that is also perfect for vegetarians, is the Cream of Mushroom Soup. Rich creamy mushroom soup served inside a large crusty homemade bun. Or you could opt for the Fried Crispy Calamari which is a fried breaded calamari dish served with curry-mayonnaise. This fusion is a tantalising starter for many guests, night after night. The Rendang Lamb Shank is a unique main course with a Malaysian twist that is popular among all tourists. A creation by our Executive Chef, this dish has just the right balance of local spices thrown in and is served wet, in keeping with the consistency of any Rendang dish. Among other favourites are the Chicken Pepper and Seafood Aglio. The Oxtail Goulash is especially popular amongst the Hungarian guests. Vegetarians will not be disappointed as there is something suitable from the pizza, pasta and even local selection that is suitable and highly popular amongst guests. Our friendly staff are always at hand to help understand the dishes better and recommend some children’s favourites as well.
Seashell Beach and Cafe is a reputable restaurant in the island and was nominated Malaysia’s Best Restaurant in 2002 and 2005 by Malaysia Tattler. The outlet that features private gazebos on the beach with an intimate setting was also awarded for Excellence on Best F&B Entertainment Concept from Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards 2003 – 2004. Like a beacon of fun and excitement by the beach, Seashell Beach and Cafe has a Live band aptly named Pearl who reveal their full beauty and lustre under the moonlit skies from 8pm onwards. Decked with a repertoire that has no borders, the four piece band can belt out Chinese, Dutch, Hindi, Thai, Arabic, and a variety of English numbers in reggae, country and pop. For guests who wish to show off their prowess in singing, Karaoke is available upon request.
